Dr. Srinivasan has extensive experience working with globally recognized organizations such as the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), Asian Development Bank (ADB), United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), and National Meteorological Services in South Asia and Africa. His efforts have significantly impacted the creation and implementation of climate adaptation plans and risk management strategies at both national and regional levels. He has been instrumental in the operationalization of Global and National Frameworks for Climate Services (GFCS & NFCS) in South Asia and has contributed to capacity-building initiatives that have enhanced the ability of governments to make climate-informed decisions.
In India, he has spearheaded the development of agricultural decision support systems (DSS) that incorporate seasonal and sub-seasonal forecasts for smallholder farmers in Bihar, Tamil Nadu, and Odisha, helping them adapt to climate variability and enhance productivity. His initiatives have facilitated the integration of climate risk assessments into policy frameworks for disaster resilience, especially in Odisha and Tamil Nadu. In Myanmar and Bangladesh, Dr. Srinivasan led efforts to modernize meteorological and hydrological services, enhancing weather-based agro-advisories, flood forecasting, and urban resilience planning. His expertise has also contributed to the development of climate risk projections for adaptation planning in Madagascar and the Maldives, influencing national climate adaptation policies and financing strategies.

• Contributing Author & Government Reviewer for IPCC Assessment Reports
• Former Chair of the WMO Task Team on Guide to Climatological Practices
