About the Role
The Product Development Lead is responsible for leading the design, development, and iteration of BCS’s climate intelligence products. The role requires a cross-functional leader with strong technical insight, excellent product strategy instincts, and a passion for building scalable, impactful tools.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Roadmap
• Define and manage product vision, goals, and feature roadmap for BCS’s climate-tech platforms
• Align product development with thematic service areas (climate data, disaster response, agriculture, ESG, etc.)
• Conduct market/user research and competitor analysis to shape product direction
Team & Project Leadership
• Manage cross-functional teams including developers, data scientists, UI/UX designers, and domain experts
• Lead agile development sprints, backlog grooming, and milestone reviews
• Mentor junior team members and promote a culture of innovation and quality
Technical Oversight & Quality
• Oversee product architecture in collaboration with technical leads
• Define feature specifications, wireframes, and documentation with usability in focus
• Ensure integration of AI/ML modules, API services, geospatial tools, and mobile/web interfaces
Stakeholder Engagement
• Collaborate with internal teams (climate science, partnerships, comms) and external partners (government, private sector, NGOs)
• Translate stakeholder requirements into product features and design decisions
• Represent BCS products in demos, presentations, and investor/donor meetings
Monitoring & Growth
• Track product performance through KPIs, user feedback, and data analytics
• Lead product iteration cycles to improve value and scalability
• Contribute to fundraising, proposal writing, and scaling plans for flagship platforms
Requirements
At least 7 years of experience in product development or management, with over 2 years in a leadership position
Demonstrated expertise in creating SaaS products or data-driven platforms, preferably in the climate, environment, health, or AI sectors
Comprehensive knowledge of agile methodologies, product lifecycle, and user-centered design principles
Understanding of AI/ML, APIs, cloud platforms, and GIS/web-mapping technologies
Proficient in both written and spoken English
Background in climate services, public health systems, or agricultural technology
Experience in startup settings or social innovation
Knowledge of Thai or other Southeast Asian contexts
Experience with multilingual UI/UX or chatbot development
